I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor with a Masters Degree in
Educational Psychology (UW, 1981), currently celebrating 25 years in practice. I specialize in work with adults including sexual
minorities. Over the years I have developed a flexible and adaptable approach
to psychotherapy with a wide variety of people and issues. In the course of our
work together, I may draw from a number of therapeutic models, depending
on the experiences and issues you bring to your therapy, and which approaches
make the most sense for addressing your specific concerns and goals.
My intention is to create a safe, open and supportive space for you to explore
the areas of your life in which you want to make changes,
and to help empower you in a process of reflection, growth
and healing. We will continually tailor our work to effectively
address your specific needs and issues. You can expect me
to be a direct, compassionate and involved participant in
your therapy process. I see my role as that of a trained guide
whose job it is to help you notice, interpret and work with
whatever you encounter along your own unique path of healing
and change. (Next)
